Why I support Ron Paul

Ron Paul is for the liberty and freedoms of American citizens, We the People. His message of liberty speaks to our hearts, it arouses passion and enthusiasm. God gave us liberty, He made us to love freedom and desire it. Ron Paul said "The most basic principle to being a free American is the notion that we as individuals are responsible for our own lives and decisions. We do not have the right to rob our neighbors to make up for our mistakes, neither does our neighbor have any right to tell us how to live, so long as we aren’t infringing on their rights. Freedom to make bad decisions is inherent in the freedom to make good ones. If we are only free to make good decisions, we are not really free."

Ron Paul is a man of integrity. You can trust him. He is consistent. He speaks what he believes, not just whatever will enhance his personal gain. He's been saying the same thing for decades. Things which he predicted years ago have now come to pass, to the shock of many skeptics. He truly knows what he talks about. He can't be 'bought'. He won't flip flop or compromise.
Ron Paul's principles which he teaches and lives by are Biblical, Constitutional, and moral. He has been married 55 years, has 5 children (who are all still married to their spouses), and 18 grandchildren. 5 people in his family, including himself, are doctors. As an OBGYN, Ron Paul has delievered over 4000 babies, and not performed a single abortion.

Ron Paul wants to bring our troops home, and have peaceful, non-interventionalist, relationships with all other countries. He wants to build our national defense. So many people don't understand this foreign policy, and are scared of it. They think of Ron Paul as an isolationist who wants to keep America reclusive/secluded. But his views are constitutional, and in line with our founding fathers. And anyone who really studies this policy can understand and appreciate it. Thomas Jefferson said in his first inaugural address "Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with ALL nations-- entangling alliances with NONE". Washington said that "temporary alliances" could be justified for "extraordinary emergencies" but other than that "harmony, liberal intercourse with all nations are recommended by policy, humanity, and interest." (Ibid., p. 235)

Ron Paul is the only veteran presidential candidate- wouldn't you expect him to know something about what the wars 'over there' are really like? And why is it that he gets more donations from active military than all the other candidates and Obama combined? Wouldn't they understand? Do we really have enough respect for our troops to their voices?

Ron Paul is the tax payer's friend. He has NEVER voted to increase any taxes. He believes we should be able to keep every penny we earn. He wants to do away with the income tax, which is unconstitutional. He is called 'Dr. No' because of all the times he's voted no on unconstitutional bills.

Ron Paul the only candidate with a plan to substantialy reduce our spending and debt. He has a consistent record of voting to lower or abolish federal taxes, spending, and regulation, and used his House seat to actively promote sending government back to it's limiting Constitutional levels.

Ron Paul is the only one who truly wants to get rid of abortion. Being an OBGYN doctor, he has delievered over 4000 babies, and never once murdered a baby. He has submitted bill after bill, in attempts to restrict and outlaw it. He's fought to repeal Roe Vs. Wade. You can't be for liberty without being for life. To quote Ron Paul on the issue, "Those who seek a pro-life culture must accept that we will never persuade all 300 million Americans to agree with us. A pro-life culture can be built only from the ground up, person by person. For too long we have viewed the battle as purely political, but no political victory can change a degraded society. No Supreme Court ruling by itself can instill greater respect for life. And no Supreme Court justice can save our freedoms if we don't fight for them ourselves."

Ron Paul is the only candidate who talks about the true role of government, and it's limits under the Constitution. His principles are largely founded on the 10th amendment; limiting the Federal government to it's strict confines, and leaving the states free to do as they choose. Many people are unfamiliar with the principle, due to lies spread by the media, polititians, etc. Because of that, they misunderstand and fear Ron Paul's 'stance' on things such as drugs, homosexuality, prostitution, abortion, schooling etc. However, Ron Paul actually wants to allow the STATES to excercise their Constitutional right choose for THEMSELVES what their laws will be--NOT letting the Federal government do such!

Ron Paul the only one that can really beat Obama. Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, and Rick Santorum all have pasts with well known flaws. They're flip floppers and in the race for power. Obama would have plenty to attack them on, and destroy them. Ron Paul has a clean, consistent record, with no 'skeletons in the closet'. Ron Paul can appeal to the left on numerous issues, such as anti-war, anti-drug war, ending the Fed, civil liberties, ending corporate welfare and opting out of Socialism Security. He won't try to dominate Congress or the states. He's the only GOP candidate who is strong where Obama is strong. He polls best among young people, Democrats, blacks, independents and voters in the Northeast where Obama won every single state. "

If not Ron Paul, what other option do we have? More progressives, power hungry men who will further enslave our nation? More war, more debt, more laws, less liberty. We have to put someone we can trust up there. Ron Paul can't work miracles and suddenly fix everything, but he is dedicated and determined, and will do whatever he possibly can towards liberty.

So many of those who don't like Ron Paul simply misunderstand him. They don't know what he really believes and wants. They listen to the mainstream media and either don't hear at all about him, or hear negative twisted things about him. One reason his most enthusiastic supporters are the youth is because they are on the internet so much. These youth are worried about the future of our generation, and they do research online to find the truth. They don't just listen to the regular biased media and make descisions based on what they are told. So if you don't like Ron Paul, please, research him on youtube, google, etc and give him a chance! You might be glad you did!

For liberty,

Madelyn Stanley

"Regulating speech is a dangerous notion, and not compatible with the principles of a free society" ~ RON PAUL

Please be respectful, "say unto others as you would have them say unto you"!

Thank you!
